Firebender

This is a commission, and I actually did not get it approved before posting it sooooo it might just end up being a drawing for me. 

I have always had a love/hate relationship with scanners so I have started photographing my work.  This little snap from my Ipod is so much better than my scanner.  Can't sell prints with my photos, though.  Can't get the quality over 72 dpi.    Just an Ipod newb right now.  lol  Anyway.  Colors are really close to this, just a bit pale and light. 

I did not want to color this girl.  I loved my sketch sooooo much.  I just KNEW if it was finished, I would have botched it.  lol  But I still love it!  So I am patting my back right now.  The style is something I've been working on for a while, and I am excited to show y'all  a bit of it.  I have gotten rid of almost all of my markers.  Kept my set of cool greys only.  So those are the bg.  Gel pen my husband bought me for the details, and the rest is prismacolor pencils. 

I kept thinking maroon for the back.  My mom was over while I was starting, and I told her I was feeling maroon, and asked her what did she think...  She looked at me weird and said grey.  And then my imagination thought it was a great idea.  I think it does look better grey than my maroon feeling.
